Has your RCM outsourcing partner let you down during the COVID-19 lockdown?

revenue cycle is a mission-critical business process operatioN and it takes a lot of operational rigor to delivery high-quality services consistently.

With a strong technology and automation enabled delivery model, Access Healthcare rebounded from COVID-19 lock down in less than 48 hours, earned the trust of Customers and significantly increases share of RCM Volumes.

“When the going gets tough, the tough get going” - so goes an adage. At Access Healthcare, we take operational continuity seriously. As our healthcare providers continued to operate, so did we. Supporting them through the ongoing COVID-19 crisis has been the primary focus of our leadership.  They did their bit to help the world see through the crisis, and we did our bit to help them sustain a profitable operation.

Revenue Cycle during COVID

When the initial phase of COVID-19 started, we needed to shift over 12,000 people to the work-from-home model.  And we did in less than a week. 80% of our team members were up and running within 48 hours, and 99% of our team members were in business-as-usual mode (Work from home mode - as usual as it would become over the next 18 months) in the next four days.

So how did we do it? For us, work is not a place; it’s something we do. And it’s powered by best-in-class, proprietary technologies, including:

  • Our workflow coordinates work distribution, productivity measurement, quality assurance, and operational and client reporting on a single platform.

  • Mobile apps that enable our team members to connect and communicate and ensure coordination across teams distributed across geographic locations. A unique home-pod-based communication program helped shift the focus to operational priorities.

  • echo, an innovative revenue cycle focused automation platform that leverages machine learning (ML) and artificial Intelligence (AI) to automation most of the routine work processes

  • Focused revenue cycle dashboards that enable us to focus on improving collections.

“We take business continuity seriously. When COVID-19 lockdowns were announced, we realised that this could be a long-haul and repurposed our technology tools to assure mission-critical revenue cycle operations continue as usual, even as the front-line caregivers battle the unprecedented pandemic. Our innovative HomePods based engagement model enabled us to collaborate with our global team members and focus on business outcomes.”
— Shaji Ravi, President and Managing Director, Access Healthcare

Access Healthcare’s business continuity program is not just a document. It is the way we work and assure our clients of uninterrupted services in the face of adverse situations.

Our motto is to build technologies to measure, monitor, manage, and transform human and bot productivity. We do this iteratively to ensure that our customers get one of the lowest costs to collect while hitting business outcome metrics out of the park.

So, while three (3) of our largest competitors could not stand up their operations completely for over four weeks, we did it in record time. Our ability to assure uninterrupted, high-quality operational delivery is why as many as ten customers who also worked with some of our competitors decided to increase our share of work. Most of them shifted the entire volume to us!

And our numbers tell the story. For the first nine months, our headcount stayed at nearly 12,000 marks, and since September 2021, we have increased our headcount by over 33%, growing to over 16,000 people.

That’s Access Healthcare for you.
Unrelenting. Focused. Smart.
