The Position

The Manager for corporate quality will be responsible for implementing organizational programs to attain and sustain quality standards and accreditations. This position reports to the Assistant Vice President of Quality.

Work Location: Chennai

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic Responsibilities:
    • Evaluate strategies, policies, processes, and procedures as part of the management system
    • Promote a Quality & information security-oriented Culture, support initiatives that drive on-going process improvement, facilitate changes to the quality and information security strategy into the business
  • Manage Corporate Quality Initiatives:
    • Maintain corporate quality standards as prescribed in ISO 9001, ISO 27001, SOC Audits, HIPAA regulations
    • Manage internal and external audits, quality training, new initiatives, and projects
    • Maintains and implements certification coverage ensuring on-going compliance to standards and external certification including the closure of external audit findings
    • Promote quality and information security throughout the organization, implementing and leveraging the Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Information Security Management System (ISMS) at all levels
  • Role in Operations/ Transition Management:
    • Periodically identify & prioritize process risks and drive suitable risk response actions, including upgradation of Quality & Information security Audit checklists and setting up Early Warning Systems
    • Engage in new transitions from a Quality & information security perspective and ensure readiness before operations go live
    • Assists Project Manager/ Transition Manager during the execution of the project
    • Monitor the implementation of customer satisfaction tools and activities
    • Assesses project audit results and follow-up on non-conformance
    • Assist in best practices sharing across the projects
  • People Management:
    • Ensure engagement of Corporate Quality team members by good people management practices, within the framework of policies and procedures defined by the organization
    • Provide training to personnel about Quality System issues management and methodologies and implements the necessary training Programs for Quality personnel
  • Reporting:
    • Analysis of data received from multiple functions and reporting to Management
    • Ensure accurate MIS reporting for Quality and publish compliance reports to the management

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Ability to lead a team of QMS and ISMS professionals and establish, implement and maintain Quality and information security practices in the organization in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 standards
  • Demonstrate high integrity and provide attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain productive lasting relationships, even in difficult situations, with diverse people spanning internal/external organizations
    Capacity to handle change, stay open to different ideas, support positive changes
  • Execute SOC1 TYPE II requirements as mandated in client contracts
  • Accountable for team member’s performance
  • Ability to hire right candidates and train them to perform well in their roles and responsibilities
  • Responsible to meet deadlines and achieve the objectives of the quality function
  • Excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities; ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to the senior leadership team and external business partners
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sound business judgment
  • Ability to handle global or multi-location teams and customer projects
  • Possess excellent leadership, analytical, project management, and people management skills

Qualifications

  • Overall 12-15 years of experience in a BPO/ KPO/ Healthcare services with minimum 8-10 years’ experience in Corporate Quality (Quality Assurance)
  • Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 with working knowledge of this standard
  • Should have experience in delivering internal auditor training programs

Travel

  • Travel from time-to-time to customer offices and offshore delivery centres
