AAPC Magazine has published Part 2 of Access Healthcare’s article titled, “Two More Best Practices to Improve Emergency Coding”, written by Gayathri Natarajan, CPC, COC, Director of Coding, published in the July-2018 edition of its Healthcare Business Monthly Magazine.  This article is the second part of the two-part series and focuses on another two best practices in ED coding -

  1. Education on modifier requirements
  2. Education on patient’s diagnosis documentation
